PREPARATION FOR FIRST HOLY COMMUNION 2011-2012
Forms are now available for you to register your child for the First Holy Communion programme 2012.  Please take one from the entrance hall in the Parish Rooms or download one from the bottom of the page and return it to the Parish Office by 11th September.  Your child must be at least 7 by 31st August (starting school year 3 in September 2011).  The planned dates for 2012 First Holy Communion services are the weekend of 26/27 May 2012.

PREPARATION FOR CONFIRMATION  2011-2012
During Lent we started the above confirmation programme for the current Year 9 (who will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in summer 2012)  - a little earlier than the usual September in Year 10.  This is to ease the "pressure" on those who wish to be confirmed. If we can complete half the Programme by summer 2011, it will mean less "stress" for next year when the young people have exams etc.


FIRST HOLY COMMUNION 2010-2011
22 of our children received their First Holy Communion on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th June at 11.00am. 

CONFIRMATION 2010-2011
16 of our young people (current school Year 10) received the Sacrament of Confirmation this summer.  Confirmation is the Sacrament whereby young Christians 'confirm or ratify' the commitment made at baptism on their behalf, by their parents and godparents. It is a personal decision to become full adult members of the Church that we are invited to make together with a group of other Christians, who discern what God is asking of them.

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)
Regular meetings are held by Father Benny throughout the year for adults looking to convert to Catholism. The meetings go through steps and periods that make up the full paradigimatic form of Christian initiation. For more information on this please speak to Father Benny.
