January 3rd 2011 was the Feast of the Holy Name and marked the beginning of the Golden Jubilee Year of the existence of our church.   We had some special occasions to celebrate this Milestone in the life of our Parish planned throughout the year.

CHURCH RENOVATIONS
Over last summer we had the renovation work done on our Church. There was some disruption while we attended Mass in our Parish Rooms.  Thank you to all of you who have helped make this run smoothly.  We are now back in our new beautifully refurbished (and warm!) church. 

FUNDRAISING EVENT TO HELP PAY FOR THE RENOVATION WORK - CHRISTMAS RAFFLE
Various social events have happened and to help raise funds for the renovation work and we ran a Christmas Raffle which raised almost £1,000. A cheese and wine tasting evening is planned for 10 February 2012 also.

PARISH MISSION - 7-20 May.
Fr Tim Buckley came to our Church for two weeks in May to lead us on a Parish Mission, whereby many different sessions on our faith and our community were held.  Many parishioners attended these sessions and it was a unique opportunity to explore the bible and our church community further.  To see more  click here.

2- DAY TRIP TO WALSHINGHAM SHRINE - 21-23 September 
A group of parishioners went to the Walshingham Shrine for two nights in September. The group enjoyed the peaceful sanctuary of the area.
